As part of the ClimaTIC project, Inforef and the International Polar Foundation are progressively uploading online an interactive version of the comic book produced by the IPF: "La migration des Ibanes" (currently available in English and in French)

The interactive comicbook has many multimedia items that give teachers and students the opprtunity to study the various subjects covered in the comicbook. For example, the first episode talks about climatic phenomena like floods and enables evaluation of floods' ecological impact. The second episode takes us to the Arctic regions and reveals the problems being faced there. Complementary to the comicbook, the interactive version will be put progressively online until mid-2007. To take part in Alibert's adventures, order the comicbook by contacting the IPF at publications (at) polarfoundation (dot) org

The ClimaTIC project offers primary and secondary schools the chance to talk about climatic and environmental changes and sustainable development using specific examples. This project is open to all classes. Many teaching aids are already available in a range of languages.

At the start of the 2006-2007 schoolyear, studies, research materials and reports on a range of subjects will be available to classes. Just a few examples: where the wood we use comes from; deforestation in the Democratic Republic of Congo; biodiversity in the Antarctic; the consequences of climate change in the Polar Regions.
