Biodiversity in the North Sea

Full screen view

The temperature increase associated with climate warming is causing modifications in the plankton’s composition and encouraging the establishment of exotic marine species.

Another effect can also be observed in the North Sea: sea level rise. Due to climate warming, water is expanding and taking up more room.
