The sheet « Biodiversity in the Fagnes » is part of the pedagogical dossier on Biodiversity & Climate Change.

The Fagnes area holds a unique ecosystem with species you wouldn't be able to find elsewhere. This is notably the case for the black grouse, otherwise known as the blackgame. Climate change is seriously threatening the microclimate encountered in the Fagnes area, to such an extent that it could come to disappear.

On a practical level, the sheet offers an activity "Everything is tied together" in order to better understand the key concepts involved in an ecosystem and the food chain. This sheet also supplies references for those willing to take a step further.
